Itinerary

Day 1:  Umbwe Gate – Forest Caves (13km, 4-5hrs, 1450m)

After breakfast we will drive to Umbwe gate for registration and start a – 4-5hrs ascent through Barranco valley to Forest Caves for dinner and overnight.

Day 2:  Forest Caves – Barranco Camp (5km, 3-4hrs, 1100m Ascent)

After breakfast we will have 3 – 4hrs trek to Barranco camp (3950m) for lunch.

In the afternoon we will hike for acclimatization.

Dinner and overnight at Barranco camp.

Day3:  Barranco – Barafu Camp (8km, 4-5hrs, 4600m)

After breakfast we will cross the Barranco wall to Barafu camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4:  Barafu – Uhuru Peak – Barafu – Mweka Camp

Midnight wake up for a light breakfast before climbing to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro via Stella point(5685m), we will stop for a short rest and will be rewarded with the most magnificent sunrise we are ever likely to see on Earth (weather permitting).

From Stella point is about 1hr to Uhuru peak – the highest point (5895m) on Kilimanjaro and the highest free-standing mountain on the planet.

After taking your memorable pictures you will descend to Barafu camp for a short break and lunch before having another descent to Mweka camp (3100m) for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate (3-4hrs, 1800m)

Today we complete our Kilimanjaro climb.

We are met at the base of Kilimanjaro, awarded with certificate before driving to your hotel for dinner party and overnight.
